Dr. Abbey Parsons has worked in the veterinary industry for almost a decade. She completed her undergraduate studies in Animal Science and Avian Biology prior to receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! Since leaving Athens, Dr. Parsons has lived and worked in the northern Atlanta area in general practice. She has a passion for all aspects of veterinary medicine which strengthen the human-animal bond with special interests in preventative medicine, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, behavioral medicine and especially feline medicine. Dr. Parsons is Fear-Free Certified and takes special care to make cats (and dogs) feel more comfortable in the clinic to assist in examinations, procedures, diagnostics and treatment. When Dr. Parsons isn’t working, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Bulldogs, and relaxing with her pets: a Pomeranian named Gus and two cats, Tito and Kronk. Dr. Parsons is excited to serve the Dawsonville community and join Whitmire team!
